Symposium on Biofuels 2010

The “Symposium on Biofuels” takes a profound look at the second-generation biodiesel, sustainable biofuel sources, and the potential of biofuels in the GCC region. The event is anticipated to appeal to a broad range of attendees including: biofuel researchers, producers and policy makers. It will focus on the biofuels new trends, socio-economic impact, environmental aspect, economics, and bioconversion of agricultural and agro-industrial wastes.more

Spring 2010 Events @ Department of Architectural Engineering

In collaboration with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the Department of Architectural Engineering, College of Engineering at UAE University is organizing exhibition on "Contemporary Norwegian Architecture 2000-2005" starting Tuesday, 23 March 2010. As part of the event, a public lecture is presented by Mr. Kjetil Thorsen of the Norwegian architecture firm Snohetta. more

Engineering Students Renewable Energy Competition 2010 (ESREC 2010)

The ESREC’2010 is a competition involving undergraduate students’ projects under the large umbrella of renewable energy; solar, wind, fuel cells, hydrogen, tidal, and wave energy. A workshop on renewable energy will be also held to complete the competition. The 1st version of ESREC attracted nearly 106 students from 10 higher learning institutions across the UAE and other GCC countries. more

Symposium on Engineering Education 2009

The United Arab Emirates University is hosting the Symposium on Engineering Education (SEE-09) from May 16-18, 2009. The symposium theme will be Global Quality in Engineering Education. The symposium seeks to gather engineering faculty, educators, administrators and industry to discuss contemporary issues in engineering education. more

Engineering Student Society 20th MAY 2008

The Engineering Student Society (ESS-male) in cooperation with the IEEE-UAEU student branch and the ASME-UAEU student chapter celebrated the graduation of Electrical and Mechanical students who are expected to graduate by the end of spring 07-08. more

Renewable Energy Seminar, RES 08

The world is currently exploring new ways to achieve sustainable and rapid economic growth at lower cost and impact to environment. Renewables are alternatives sources of energy to fossil fuels that are associated with low carbon dioxide footprint. But they are not yet economically competitive with conventional sources.  more

The College of Engineering has organized an open day with Shell on Monday 10th, Sep., 2007 at Awad Al Hakeem hall in Jemi campus. Shell had the opportunity to speak face to face with the students about their ability to join shell when they graduate through Gourami Business Challenge. more
